We live in such a glorious country, it's apt to celebrate the environment and community with
Music From The Wetlands . For this free event, be at 1 View St, Alphington on
Sunday 18 November 2018 from 11.45am to 5.45pm to reap the rewards of a free concert and more. Set amongst the beautiful wetlands along the Yarra River, it's also wheelchair accessible. This amazing event is organised entirely by passionate volunteers with an environmental focus
The concert will showcase performers with a connection to the local community and there'll be a range of interactive displays by local and community organisations. Kid's will have plenty to keep them happy and there'll be food and drink for all. Kicking off with a music march through the streets of Alphington to the festival site, it'll begin from Heidelberg Road with none other than Havana Palava. A fab lineup of musicians follow, so sit on a pea straw bale that you can take home with you for mulch on the garden, and take it all in.
The program for this year's festival is as follows. Be sure to check back on the
event page and
Facebook page for updates.
