Undiscovered noodleicous wonderland
This small takeaway restaurant in the Mt Waverley Pinewood shopping precinct certainly shouldn't be underestimated based on its appearance or location - it was recommended to me by a friend, and for a friday night takeaway I would definitely give it two thumbs up!

My partner got the beef & black bean noodles, and I had the 'meatlovers' (pork, beef and chicken) noodles with a mongolian sauce. The beef & black bean came with a thicker hokkien style noodles, and mine were a thinner egg noodle - both were delicious and had plenty of sauce (which is always a winner with me!!) the veggies were tasty and well cooked, and the meat in both dishes was tender and flavoursome. I particularly enjoyed my partners beef & black bean, as it had plenty of black beans and a rich authentic flavour - not like some 'black bean' dishes where it's just a honey soy flavour!!

Great things:

Great menu variety - traditional 'noodle box' type dishes, cantonese cuisine (lemon chicken, beef & black bean, etc), rice dishes (Nasi goreng and similar), as well as sushi, of course!

Very quick & friendly service - takeaway for two was ready in under 10 minutes!

Dishes made from fresh ingredients - you can see all the fresh vegetables on display at the front counter (kind of subway-style!)

Huge meals - the serving sizes are giant! Easily enough for two meals!

Not-so-great things:

Has plenty of seating, but the ambience is a little lacking - although considering the prices and location, you shouldn't be expecting fine dining!

Noodles were a little greasy, but for me it wasn't offputting, just fairly typical when it comes to takeaway.
