If you are looking for a Christmas gift that is just a little different to the norm, then Museum Store Sunday might just be what you are searching for.
Museum Store Sunday is a global cultural event, promoting conscientious shopping through the support of over 900 museum stores, representing eleven countries and three continents, and their missions worldwide.
On Sunday 1 December 2019, the South Australian Museum Store will become a one-stop-shop for you to purchase your Christmas gifts while having lots of museum fun, and supporting your Museum.
Shopping at the Museum Store will give you 10% discount storewide (20% for Museum Members) (on most items), museum gift concierge/gift search engine search to help with shopping ideas, unique Christmas stocking fillers, complimentary gift wrapping, plus lucky door prizes throughout the day.
The Museum will open at 10 am, when you can come along a enjoy breakfast in the Museum Café. From 10.30 am to 12.30 pm or 2 pm to 4 pm why not spend some watching a family-friendly movie in the Pacific Cultures Gallery. From 12.30 pm to 2 pm you can Meet the Maker, with the Makers from Happenstance Gin (12.30 pm to 1 pm), Green Shed Jewellery (1 pm to 1.20 pm) and Mistress Von Berlow Collection (1.20 pm to 1.40 pm) available to answer your questions.
