The Murraylands Multicultural Yuntu-Walun Festival is a free family event celebrating the cultural diversity of the Murraylands. The festival's name, Yuntu-Walun, is Ngarrindjeri for coming together.

The event will be held on Sunday, 19th March 2023, at Pine Park, Swan Port Road, Murray Bridge, from 11.00am to 3.00pm. It will showcase the region's cultural diversity through food, song, dance, arts, crafts and animals.

A local Ngarrindjeri group, the Willy Wagtails, will do the welcome to country and a smoking ceremony. Some of the many activities at this multicultural festival will include Ukrainian dancers, arts and crafts, the Australian Navy Band; Mickster the Trickster's magic show, Nigerian singing, Filipino dancing, a Chinese erhu instrumental performance, Italian opera, Rwandan dancing, Arabesque belly dancing and many more. A petting zoo and Animal Anonymous's native animals will also be there for the children.

There will also be coffee and a wide range of foods from Sri Lankan, Greek, French, Italian and Taiwanese cultures and more.

As we all know the Murraylands community had been doing it tough through the recent floods, so come and join them as they come together to celebrate and support one another. For more information on the event, visit their website.
