Sunday 20 May 2018 is a great day to let the dogs out at Sturt Reserve Road, Murray Bridge. The Million Paws Walk runs from 9.30am to 1pm, with a walk start time of 10am. Bring your pooch along for the biggest dog's day out of the year. This is going to be an easy 2km/4km walk around the Sturt Reserve, and the course is wheelchair and pram friendly.
You can register online or on the day. This 3rd annual walk goes along the beautiful Murray River, and the event will be filled with a village style atmosphere with market stalls, a bbq, coffee truck, activities and more. Prices range from $9-$35. If this location is not convenient for you, you can check out all other locations in South Australia online.
The RSPCA has been taking care of animal issues since back in the 1800s, long before animal rights were as pronounced as they are now. They wear the mantle of being the first organisation in the world to do so and the South Australian body formed in 1875 to protect innocent animals against cruelty and more. However, they cannot do this without your help.
All proceeds (entry fees, merchandise sale, online fundraising) from the walk supports their ongoing work. Every dollar helps, so put your best paw forward. If you can't make it to the walk, donations for this amazing cause is happily accepted.
