If, like me, you're a fan of a good murder mystery, then Dendy Cinemas at Portside Wharf, Hamilton have got your cinematic entertainment in March all sorted. From Thursday March 18 to Wednesday March 31 you can see some of the classics of the silver screen (or should I say scream?) at their Murder Mysteries Film Festival.



The list of film fatales includes the 1941 archetypal film noir, The Maltese Falcon, with the first pairing of Humphrey Bogart (as the wisecracking private investigator, Sam Spade) with director, John Huston.You'll also see Hitchcock's North by Northwest with a debonair Cary Grant and cool Eva Marie Saint. Agatha Christie fans are catered for with Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile while the Orson Welles' masterpiece, The Third Man will also be showing. I'm most looking forward to the British comedy classic, Kind Hearts and Coronets, the funniest movie about murder ever made. In it Alec Guinness hilariously plays all eight members of the victim D'ascoyne family.
