Built in the early to mid 1900s,
The Manor Basket Range is nestled away in the iconic and picturesque Adelaide Hills at 762 Lobethal Road, Basket Range. Previously known as Camelot Castle, it was built to entice love from overseas, an endeavour which unfortunately failed.
The sandstone building was designed in the image of England's Warwick Castle and since failing in its first purpose, has been utilised for everything from a home to various businesses since then and has recently been rejuvenated and stunningly reworked to become The Manor Basket Range.
Following on from the very popular murder mystery Fringe events, will focus on Albert Pinchbeck, owner of the castle in which the story will begin. Albert built the castle many years previously for his love, but she is not interested. Since then, he has become a recluse in his castle and has invited his very quarrelsome relatives to the reading of his Will at 1 pm on Sunday 10 June 2018. However, as tensions build, murder abounds.
For two and half hours, you will be surrounded by suspects and potential victims. You are required to learn the family secrets and ultimately the identity of the murderer. You will acquire points throughout the event but must be careful not to become a victim.
Michelle Nightingale and Emma Knights will keep you entertained with a live soundtrack embedded with clues to help your work your way through the mystery. Come dressed in character and be prepared that you are an integral part of the story.
Your ticket includes a three course meal prepared by The Manor's 5 star rate chef. Cost is $98 per person with an optional drinks package of $40 per person. If you would like to stay the night, the special accommodation package is $200 per person.
