Join local mural artist Sarah Boese for a series of free drawing and aerosol workshops, that'll see a new mural gracing the South East corner of the city. Attend one, or all three workshops at the Box Factory Community Centre, 59 Regent Street South, Adelaide for workshops on Thu 9 August 2018 (6.30-8.30pm); Sat 11 August (11am-12.30pm); and Sat 18 August (11am-12.30pm). Even though the event is free, you need to register, for numbers. No previous artistic experience is required. Local cafes like Social Street, Biga Cafe and Fawn Coffee will be providing delicious treats.
During the Aerosol Workshop on 9 Aug, you'll be guided towards creating water-based aerosol art. It's all hands-on and gives you a chance to try a new medium alongside other creatives. It's a brainstorming session about what you'd like to see on the mural. This event comes with tasty Thai snacks from Social Street. The creative brainstorming of ideas continues in the Idea Generation Workshop on 11 Aug, and you'll learn how to generate, harvest, and curate collective community thoughts into a mural. Wholesome nibbles from Biga Cafe will keep you company. The last in the series, the Drawing and Aerosol Workshop on 8 August continues with aerosol art and drawing techniques, and you'll be led to translate ideas into reality, alongside delicious treats from Fawn Cafe. If you're a lover of street art, this could be the experience you're looking for.
