This casual joint on the busy Majors Bay Road at Concord is popular for its quick service and good food. Located across Coles on Majors Bay Road, Munoushee is open for breakfast and lunch from 6:30 AM to 4 PM on most days, except Sundays, when they have shorter hours from 7 AM to 2 PM.

For those new to munoushe, it is a hot Lebanese thyme pie traditionally eaten for breakfast and lunch. Topped with Zaatar spices and sesame, the traditional munoushe has a thin soft base. Eat it like a pizza or have it folded into a semi-circle, you cannot go wrong with it. I particularly like the munoushee from this joint as the base is thin and not doughy.

serves up a big brekky that promises go a long way. With baked bacon, baked eggs, Lebanese bread, halloumi and other sides, it is a great wholesome brekky to start the day off.

Although I highly recommend the traditional munoushee, the Jebneh with feta and mozzarella, the Delux & Vegg It with olives and fresh mint or the munoushee with homemade chilli are great alternatives. For halloumi lovers, it's hard to go past the tasty halloumi pie.

The prices are reasonable and with plenty of outside seating, this makes a welcoming cafe to start the day. If you are not around the area, you can order your favourite munoushee via Deliveroo y or Uber eats.
