Enjoy Oktoberfest now!

Here's a good reason to raise your glass of beer for a toast… Munich Brauhaus has opened its first location at South Wharf. No need to wait until Spring, you can now celebrate Oktoberfest every day of the year in state of the art facilities.

German style bars are growing in popularity and this one cannot be matched. The 900 plus seat venue with 250 water front seats with brewtiful views. This beer hall will appeal to all beer lovers and those out for a big feed and good time.

As you would expect pork, schnitzels, sausages, pork belly, pork knuckle, suckling pig, Sauerkraut, hearty desserts such as strudels, cheesecake and black forest cake all feature on the menu. Add a few uber wieners and you're all set for a feast.
Set menus start from $39, which includes appetizers, entrees, main meal, and dessert. Here's an example menu.

But let's not kid ourselves, patrons are going to head in droves to South Wharf for the beer. They boast an extensive and exclusively imported bier menu to complement every meal.
Munich Brauhaus make a big claim about their award-winning Bier. They advertise that these comprise just four natural ingredients – malt, hops, yeast and water. This means they not only taste great, but (they brag) are actually good for you! I wonder if that is regardless of how much you drink.

Munich Brauhaus has tried hard to capture the festival atmosphere and I hope the designers have also considered safety when designing the dance floor. I don't know how your parties end up but it sounds like a recipe for disaster: lots of quality beer, steps to the mezzanine, music and dancing.

The main dining restaurant seats nearly 300, there are two cocktails bars, another dining room and an outdoor bier garden. All this and live acts with the traditional sounds of their German Oom Pah Pah band, Munich has all the best ingredients for a have fun 'til you drop event.

Munich Brauhaus brings to life a traditional Bavarian bierhaus, where guests can dine, drink and party like Oktoberfest without waiting until October. Hope you remember the event the next day!
