Mundaring Arts Centre Re-opening

The Mundaring Arts Centre has been closed over the past few weeks while the place underwent repairs and renovations.

It re-opens on the 29th August with a solo exhibition by renowned printmaker Helen Clarke of some of her etchings and linocut prints.



Clarke's work is inspired by her deep and profound love of the Australian flora around her home, a hundred year old former convent near Geraldton.

Clarke says "I am excited by the constant diversity and uniqueness of the Australian landscape (so) I work to create a better understanding of the necessity to conserve our fragile environment."



Clarke's background and long career (nearly thirty years) has earned her an envied reputation and the assured confident touch of a master artist.

Her exhibition runs from Friday the 29th August until Sunday the 28th September at the Mundaring Arts Centre, 7190 Great Eastern Highway, Mundaring. Entry is free. The gallery and shop are open Tues-Fri 10am – 5pm; Sat-Sun 11am – 3pm (closed Mondays and Public Holidays).
