This week, Mummy Num Nums (Brianna Williams) opens her new show
Mummy: A Sexy Comedy Party, with a rousing rendition of 'When You're Good to Mamma' from the musical 'Chicago'–as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival. Book your tickets
here .
Mummy Num Nums is a somewhat charming but nonetheless disturbing character–she drinks milk and gin from a baby's bottle, wears a nappy and sucks on a dummy in times of grand diva anxiety. She is a little bit Debbie Reynolds, a hint of Elizabeth Taylor, with a smidgeon of Catherine Zeta Jones, and a lot of Scarlett O'Hara wrapped into an eagle meat-eating carnivore.
Mummy Num Nums continual rejection by Hollywood causes her ill-behaviour at parties, including expulsion for sinking Michael Caine's boat, and malevolence towards her nemesis –Bette Midler, who is a success even in her golden years.
This show is a predominantly improvised comedy, and each night Mummy Num Nums invites special guests to partake in her sketching antics with audience interaction. Let's face it–for the success of this show and good times, you need to be a good sport and help Mummy Num Nums bring the laughs home. A delicious cocktail from The Butterfly Club bar is sure to help you get into the groove. She's fun, absurd, quirky, and a flawed character with a penchant for deep southern accents, rambunctious shenanigans and leopard print costumes.
Get yourself to The Butterfly Club and get into the Fringe Frenzy!
Warning: Contains coarse language, adult themes blah, blah - but that's just Fringe right?
