Sunday 10th July 2016 is the annual Multicultural Eid Festival & Fair (M.E.F.F). Celebrating the cultures and traditions of 35 different communities. It's sure to be a fantastic day out for everyone.
The Multicultural Eid Festival & Fair marks 32 years of celebrations at Fairfield Showground. M.E.F.F is the largest Multicultural Eid festival in Australia. It's a great opportunity to learn about different cultures and understand the diversity that makes Australia so fantastic.
Welcoming tens of thousands of people the annual M.E.F.F is a thriving, bustling cacophone of sights, sounds and smells. Step into a boudoir with the waft of intense. Your stomach will no doubt be rumbling with rustic spices and grilled treats.
Your tastebuds will be excited by the large selection of food stalls from different countries. It's like travelling on a round the world foodie trip in a day. Vegetarian food options will also be available. Come and celebrate Australian Multiculturalism at its best at the 30th anniversary of MEFF!
You can expect to see amazing and free cultural performances. The kids will love the thrilling rides like the motorbikes, the dodgem cars, the super slide & everyone's favourite the cup & saucer. However the greatest attraction of them all – an animatronic life-size Baby T-Rex Dinosaur! There is surely something to keep everyone entertained.
Stay until the end and be wowed by a fireworks spectacular.
Entry is $5 and kids under 3 years old are free. The festival runs from 11am - 9pm on Sunday 10 July.
How to get there
The best way to get to this years MEFF is to catch a train to Fairfield Station. A free Shuttle bus will be operating from the train station to Fairfield Showgrounds.
Limited Free Parking is also available at Fairfield Showgrounds.
