Glow up and glow all out at Mudgee Night Glow
The days are getting shorter, the nights seem darker and temperatures are dropping rapidly. So Mudgee is hosting an event that will make you want to celebrate it: Mudgee Night Glow. It is a one night celebration to kick off the Hot Air Ballooning Championships which are coming to Mudgee, for the first time ever.

Daylight savings ending isn't so bad when you have nights like this to look forward to. Taking advantage of the shorter days, Mudgee Night Glow will light up Mudgee skies at Glen Willow Stadium, a state-of-the-art sporting ground, and recent addition to Mudgee. The family-friendly event will begin at 5 pm.

The theme of the whole night will be to "Get Your Glow On" with glow in the dark merchandise available for sale at the event. Alternatively, get creative at home with glow-in-the-dark paint, and create your own outfit. Prizes will be awarded on the night for best dressed, so be a glower!

The night begins at 5pm and there will be free shuttles leaving from various locations across town. There is no parking on the night at Glen Willow, only mobility parking. A food and wine night market will coincide with the event giving glowers the option to dine on some of Mudgee region's best street food. Mudgee Night Glow is also allowing event glowers to pack a homemade picnic to dine on for the evening so you may bring your homemade dishes if you prefer. Make sure to bring a picnic blanket with you, regardless!

At 5pm there will be a mini balloon display of special shapes to enjoy as you settle in for the evening. Delight your senses as a variety of artists serenade you while you enjoy your dinner, including the acoustic band; Coconut Trio. There will also be face painting, merchandise stalls, and jumping castles to entertain you while you wait for the main event at 8pm.

On the night you will also have the opportunity to walk through a semi-inflated balloon and learn how it works from Women World's Ballooning Champion, Nicola Scaife. Make sure you are comfortable and have a good vantage point come 8 o'clock because this is when tethered hot air balloons will light up the night as they glow in a choreographed musical display.

What's a finale without fireworks? End the evening on a glow high, enjoying a display of fireworks light up the sky. The evening will finish at 9pm making it a family-friendly event. The kids can wind down from the excitement on one of the free shuttles back to town at the night's end.
