Mud can be washed off, but the memories last forever
Your child can jump, slip and slide through a series of activities at the upcoming Mud World Festival for Kids. Hosted by Nature Play Queensland and Logan City Council, this event will span across two days (including an amazing evening Muddy Wonderland Dance Party).
The festival will see Underwood Park (Priestdale) transformed to a muddy wonderland, boasting five "realms" or activity areas. The program will offer a series of three hour play sessions suitable for children under the age of 14 years.
A giant mud pit and mud puddle for children of all ages will be the highlight of the Village of Mud. Participants will engage in both free play and structured games such as Tug of War, Stuck-in-the-mud, and Statues.
The Muddy Monsterland will specifically cater for children under two years of age. Toddlers (or "Mudlings" - a term coined by event organisers) will delight in the mud pie bakery and engage in mud sculpting and mud sketching activities.
Children will embark on a muddy adventure in the realm of Mud Mania. Goggles will be given to children who brave this muddy maze.
The Great Muddy Mountain Range will require children to climb up and slide down mounds of mud.
Finally, expect shrieks of joy as children cascade down a slippery, squelchy Land Slide.
For the first time in Logan, this festival will also include a Muddy Wonderland Dance Party on the Saturday night. Ticket holders will explore the realms of Mud World and dance in the mud to the music by DJ Steve.
