If you are looking for something a little different from the usual Hollywood fare, you ought to see the film program for the Mu Meson Archives, there really is something for everyone - and then some.

The screenings take place at the The Annandale Hotel (17 Parramatta Road, Annandale 2038) on Tuesdays, under the banner of 'Cult Sinema with Jay Katz & Miss Death' and at the Mu-Meson Archives (Parramatta Road, Annandale 20380) which is also presented by Jay Katz & Miss Death (aliases for former SBS The Movie Show host Jaimie Leonarder and his wife Aspasia).

So what makes the film program presented by Jay Katz & Miss Death different from other cult film nights in Sydney? Well for one, the array of films and documentaries featured in the film program are not easily accessible; for example Death Warmed Up (1984) and Cat in the Brain (1990).

Alongside the cult flicks are a range of documentaries, including American Mullet (2001) and WikiRebels (2010), as well as special theme nights such as 'Surf Instrumentals of the 60's,' 'Miss Deaths Knitting Group' and 'H.R. Giger.'

Regular events include the 'Para(noide) Politics in the Archives' - a night dedicated to political documentaries, 'Marginalised Movies,' which as the title suggests is dedicated to features which are not the conventional Hollywood fare and 'Texas Chainsaw Trivia,' which is held at Darlo Bar/Royal Sovereign Hotel (306 Liverpool Street, Sydney 2010), and is a special night hosted by Jay Katz and Coffin Ed (Chris Ruhle) of The Naked City (FBi 94.5 FM).
