One sunny winter's day I decided to go on the lookout for the best view in town. I ended up at Mount Keira Scout Camp. I was heading West to Lookout. I hadn't even heard of .

I started the bushwalk at Mt Keira Scout Camp. It was about a 1.5 kilometre walk and the easiest bushwalk to follow so far. There was a steep incline and a ladder but it was really just a set of stairs. The track is dirt and well worn. The only other tracks you find are the ones crossing the road to join the Mt Keira Ring Track.

When you get to the picnic table and the track changes to concrete you are there. But before you go off following the concrete, head to the track on the left. You continue through the first clearing till you are standing on a rock platform with no trees in front of you. Check out the view.

With Mount Keira in your view, you can still see from Wollongong Harbour down to Shellharbour. It is amazing!

Head back the way you came and follow the concrete to the proper lookout.

Which one do you like better? I couldn't decide.

Now you can walk back down the mountain.

From the scout camp the track was about 3 kilometres return and took about 2 and a half hours. The better place to start is Byrong Park which makes it a 4 kilometre walk. The view is absolutely amazing on a clear day and be sure to visit Mt KeiraLlookout while you are there.

Oh, you can drive to both lookouts if you don't wish to walk. But don't ask me how to get to in a car, I have no idea!
