An exciting launch of a Market first. A market that's working towards sustainability and being environmentally conscious. Bringing your own reusable bags, cups and containers is but a small ask towards helping mother earth sustain us. So bring it, and head to the first Mt Martha Farmers' Market Launch on Saturday 2 November 2019 from 8.30am to 12.30pm at Mt Martha House, Parade Lawn, 466 Esplanade, Mt Martha. Bring one, bring all and experience a Mt Martha Farmers' Market delivered by Sustainable Table, proudly aspiring to be zero-waste.
You are needed, wanted and relied upon to support our regional farmers and get this first market off the ground. What a great event to support; an event with a passion to reduce waste and set a benchmark for what a single-use-plastic-free Peninsula could look like. If you have time to volunteer, they're all ears! Get in touch via the Facebook links given above for queries or forward your expression of interestHERE.
There are 2 Markets beginning in November. One will take place on the 1st Saturday of every month - launching 2nd Nov as aforementioned. Then there's the Mini Twilight Market on the 3rd Friday of each month, launching 15 Nov 2019 from 3-7pm. Be the first to be involved from the ground up and help this low-waste market come to life.
Speaking of coming to life, if you're a busker or entertainer, they'd love to have you at the Market with your musical talent to brighten up someone's day with a great market vibe. They're particularly looking for dreamy acoustic vibes and family-friendly beats to dance and sing-a-long to. If that's you, drop them a line at email@example.com as they're all ears waiting to hear from you.
Find out more about Mt Martha Farmers' Market on their Facebook page as they deliver a fortnightly option for the community to buy fresh, seasonal produce direct from local farmers and producers in a bid to encourage food purchasing habits that connect grower and consumer, whilst receiving a fair price for the their food.
Delivered by Sustainable Table, they're an environmental, young and innovative, not-for-profit organisation that supports projects in developing communities globally that help restore the natural environment and improve food security. They empower people to use their shopping dollar to vote for a food system that is fair, humane, healthy and good for the environment.
