With Autumn just around the corner, get those cameras ready and plan a drive. A must is the Botanical Gardens in Mount Lofty in the Adelaide Hills. It is free to go in. They have some wonderful walking trails.

For the photographers, the senses go wild. The turning of the leaves is always a favourite of photographers, so if you are learning your camera and its functions, this is a very good starting place. There's a lot of movement (unless it is a windy day), so you can concentrate on the image and focus and composition.

There are birds and other wildlife to keep an eye open for. There are also some sculptures in the gardens to focus on If the wind stays calm, get out your macro lens and try out some interesting macro photography.

They have many walking trails for different fitness levels. They take you through some wonderful gullies and garden areas, so go at your own pace and get the camera firing off with some beautiful scenery.
