Brisbane City may be noisy and busy during the day, but during the night it can be seen as a serene and calm city with beautiful lights and healthy environment surrounding it. This of course, is what it is viewed like from Mt Coot-Tha Lookout and the reason the lookout is so popular and famous.

In 1880, the lookout was known as One Tree Hill and it was declared as a reserve for public recreation, according to the Mt Coot-Tha Website. It went under some changes by the Brisbane City Council up until now and it has become a very popular get together for residents and tourists of Queensland.

It is a nice drive also from the bottom of the mountain up to the top, it is a 50 km/h zone so beware not to go too fast, although it is tempting because of the swirly corners makes you feel like you're a car racer, but you have to stick to the speed limits or you'll be fined straight away.

If you make a wrong turn, you are even capable of ending up at where Chanel 7 and 10 News are filmed, which would be like another adventure all over again.

The top of the mountain has a very beautiful and romantic view, especially at night time when you are on your first date or even with your loved ones or family and friends.

There is a large telescope situated in the centre of the summit where you can see the different suburbs from close up and a very open area for you to take videos or photos.

There is also a restuarant at the top of the summit, however it is not as good as the view. It is rather disappointing, but the quality does not match with the beautiful view. For a nice drink though it is fine, I just do not recommend the food.

Go there for a fun drive and a romantic night to see the lovely view and you'll be satisfied either way.
