I am a writer, living in Melbourne and studying Professional Writing and Editing at Victoria university.
Winter has come around in Melbourne and most people have locked themselves in their home, under their blankies with the heater turned on high.
Although going out on a cold winter's day can seem like a hassle, it doesn't have to be. The snow is a great place to be in winter and a great way to entertain your children on the weekend. In saying this, Mt Buller is the place to be.
Cover yourself in the warmest gear you have and head off to one of Melbourne's famous mountains for the 2012 snow year. To kick off to a great start, Mt Buller is having a three day weekend from the 9th of June to the 11th of June, full of great and fun festivities to enjoy some time at the snow. Whether you want to just see the beautiful white snow or want to participate in the different activities that can be done in the snow, Mt Buller always gives their visitors something to do.
Some of the most popular things to do in the snow is to go skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing down the mountains and Mt Buller has plenty of space for people to have their fun. Mt Buller has six convenient rental shops located all over the mountains, and with a small payment, you can hire the equipment that you will need at the snow to have a fun time.
Buller Sports Central: is found in the centre of Mt Buller's Village right beneath the Cattleman's staircase. (03) 5777 7883
Buller Sports Horse Hill: Located at the centre of the car park right next to the Horse Hill Chairlift. (03) 5777 7502
Buller Sports Chalet: Located in the Mt Buller Chalet Hotel, on Bourke Street (03) 5777 7882
Buller Sports Freeride: (03) 5777 7885
Buller Sports Mansfield: (03) 5775 2828
Mt Buller offers these and other exciting ways to entertain you. Once you are tired out from playing in the snow, you can go and have a fancy lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants, bars or cafes located on the mountains. These include Mr Bulla's Apres bar and café, Arlberg Bistro and Bar, Breathtaker - BT Gourmet Pizzeria and much more.
So if you ever have a weekend with nothing to do, try a trip to Mt bulla, a place where you and your family can enjoy.
