The MSA Beach Day is a FREE event (you need to REGISTER) for new Undergraduate Monash students, domestic, international or exchange from all Monash campuses, plus friends. It gives everyone a chance to hang together in the sun and enjoy some downtime, while also meeting other new students. You can spend the whole day or just pop in for a few hours; it all works! Sunday 27 January 2019 is the day, from 10am to 4pm. Head for the Life Saving Yellow and Red Flags close to and in front of the Sandringham Life Saving Club on Beach Road, Sandringham, and check the surrounds for an orange marquee labelled (surprise surprise!) Monash Student Association.
Monash or not, mates are welcome, and they also need to REGISTER as the organisers have limited space allocated on the beach and Monash policy requires that all attendees register. Your free tickets get you icy poles, snacks, sunscreen, water (bring your own bottle please), sports equipment and prizes for games. Though there are marquees, it's suggested you bring your own sun-smart (hats, umbrella, tent shelter etc) goodies.
Bathers, towel, and anything that'll protect you from the sun are good things to bring, plus water bottles, snacks, and money for lunch if that's what you wish. The most important thing you can bring is a positive attitude that's open to meet new people. If you've been partying hard for Australia Day, this is a good time to head for the beach to chillax.
