It is a whole house dedicated to kids having fun and being creative. Ms Brett, who runs the place has a childcare background and a love of all things arty.
There are a number of options for visits to Ms Brett's house, including sessions for zero to four-year-olds on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and after-school fun for five to 12 -year-olds on selected days.
My almost-two-year-old enjoyed the freedom and variety of the morning session we went along to. While Ms Brett has a format for each of the sessions, she understands that as with everything with little ones, there has to be flexibility. With a whole house full of new toys to explore, my daughter just couldn't resist checking out what was in the play-kitchen.
Like many littlies, my daughter sometimes takes time to warm up with groups of people and new faces, so we sat back during story time and watched the others during the singing and dancing but our eyes brightened when we saw the musical instruments.
Painting, and play-dough play often leave parents with a big cleanup job at home but Ms Brett's house is made for messy fun! The two hour classes start from just $10 and Ms Brett is working on adding new classes and activities to her schedule.
The house is also available for birthday parties and use by playgroups or mother's groups.
