There are teams of up to 15 people competing for most laps swam and money raised. Each team must have a swimmer in the water for the entire 24 hours. Each participate can decide if they want to swim for ten minutes or four hours, there is no set formula. Each team creates a roster to suit each swimmer.

Donations can be a one off donation, be sponsored for the number of laps each swimmer does, or each participant hosts their own fundraising event to add to their total. This is all up to the participant to decide on how they will fund raise.
The 24 Hour Mega Swim is a competition with points awarded to each team. Each team will receive one point for every $10 raised and one point for every five hundred metres swam. The winning team's name will be displayed on the perpetual plaque at the venue.
The event is all about bringing people together to raise funds for those living with MS. All funds raised from 24 Hour Mega Swim contribute to MS Australia Go for Gold Scholarships, Financial Assistance Programs and providing services to directly benefit those living with MS.
Unfortunately, living with MS is a 24 hour, 7 day a week challenge and the 24 Hour Mega Swim is a feat of endurance that reminds us of this challenge.
