Let your coffee journey begin
P is for PERFECTION at Mrs P's café in Burwood, a beautifully decorated and quaint little café is situated on George and John Streets where P is actually for Mrs Paspalas. The lovely Belinda is the lovely wife of George Paspalas, the owner.
Decorated by themselves, George and Belinda did most of the hard work with their own hands. The shabby chic and distressed look gives this café a Beatrix Potter feel, something out of Peter Rabbit.
The water is served in vintage bottles of wine and the water comes from a lovely dispenser on the counter. They use darling sugar pots and one lonely yet impressive Convict Brick used to add to the décor that all just seems to fit together. What caught my eye the most were the photographs on the wall, all from the late 60's - all of his parents on their wedding day and some old family photos which oozed with love.
Head barista John, prides himself in making the best coffees in town, and admittedly, he's not wrong! I had my usual double shot, extra hot skim latte made to perfection using 5 Senses as their roaster. They have gluten free biscuits and bread and use Bon Soy for the lactose intolerant, so it is great for the irritable in all of us.
Red and yellow coffee cups, pretty menus, coffee sacks and so much more makes it look very pretty. The staff are very, very friendly and make all of their customers, including myself, feel most welcome. Mrs P's is now my new coffee place in Burwood, it's going to be very tough to beat.
Opening on the 12th of the 12th 2012, this delightful café is bound for success, like them on Facebook and watch them win the next small business award, they truly deserve it. Being surrounded by companies like HP, Rail Corp, RTA and CBA, they have a great location with ample parking. Using fresh, organic and free-range ingredients, why would anybody give it a go? I'm so glad that I did. They open 7 days a week and have some more info at Mrs P's where you can let your coffee journey begin.
