writing about Perth stuff
Published September 4th 2014

Quietly humming away in North Fremantle is Mrs Brown's Bar. Next door (and part of the company) to Flipside Burgers, Mrs Brown's is a relaxing place to sit back and enjoy a wine or beer and review the day.

If you sit near the front you can safely watch the "wildlife" which lines up for Mojos (2 doors down) - a great cross-section of the band going crowd. Alternatively you can sit in some comfortable lounges with your crowd and wonder about life (and where your burger is? - they deliver from next door if enough staff on duty).

The best place for me, is out in the back courtyard. A fireplace, range of tables and enough space to be either by yourself or on a busy evening near the week's end, mix with the crowd next to you.

Mrs Brown's is what every suburb needs - a straightforward bar that caters to locals and to those crossing through. It's not over the top on noise and the crowd is there because it's good to be there. So sneak down to Mrs Brown's and enjoy the local scene, maybe a burger and a relax.... you'll be back.
