Located next door to MW on Hindley Street, Mr Cheese offers Asian cheesecakes as well as cheese and egg tarts. Their more popular flavours, Matcha and Chocolate, are known to be sold out by mid-afternoon so it is advisable to be early or to place a pre-order to avoid disappointment.
One of their most popular cheesecakes available, the Chocolate Cheesecake had a delightfully soft and light texture with enough chocolate flavour to make eating it enjoyable. For those who are concerned that the 'cheesy' taste may be too strong, they need not worry as the 'cheesy' taste is quite mild. Other flavours available are the Original Cheesecake, Matcha, Fresh Strawberry and Fresh Mango.

If you are after something for one person, you may want to consider one of their Cheese Tarts. The soft texture of the filling is contrasted well by the crisp and buttery pastry. We tried their Chocolate Cheese Tart and the Matcha Cheese Tart. The Chocolate Cheese Tart is as chocolaty as their Chocolate Cheesecake and the Matcha Cheese Tart had the required amount of matcha to give the tart its distinctive flavour. Mr Cheese's cheese tarts remind us of those we have tasted from the Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart store at Rundle Place food court.

Rather surprisingly, Mr Cheese also offers an Original Egg Tart as well. Compared to the Egg Tarts we enjoy from yum cha restaurants and other bakeries, the filling of Mr Cheese's Egg Tart is a bit sweeter. A variation known as an Ice Egg Tart is also available for those wanting something a bit unique.

Despite its small size, the store is well laid out. The glass display cases allow customers to have a good look at the different cheesecakes and tarts to help them make their selections. The store is easily accessible by public transport and close to University of South Australia's City West Campus.
