Moxie Cafe is a fresh new addition to Whittlesea's thriving shopping and dining precinct on Church Street.

This vibrant eatery is owned and managed by Ashlee and Skye, who share over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry.

Moxie Cafe opened in December 2016 and has swiftly gained a loyal clientele thanks to its focus on high-quality ingredients, partnering with Kinglake slow food provider Bowl Full of Soul to serve fresh, health food including gluten-free, low-carb and Paleo options.

Moxie Cafe is environmentally responsible using at least 90% biodegradable or biodegradable-compostable food packaging. The owners are also keen to support local charities and are currently forming a partnership with Miracle sMiles Children First Foundation.

The cafe offers a relaxed ambience and diners can choose to sit in a comfortable fireplace area, perfect for a casual catch-up with friends, or at the spacious communal tables which can easily accommodate young families or large social groups.

The centrepiece of the cafe is the bright and striking 'Moxie' mural which seamlessly blends in with the quaint and charming decorative wares.

Only Fairtrade coffee is served and all teas are from the Project T Premium Tea range. Another beverage highlight is the Chai Masala, made with Australia's No 1 Premium Chai Tea RealChai.

If you're after something different, their range of signature malted milkshakes are sure to delight. Choose from Caramel Popcorn, Jam Lamington, Mint Choc and Cookies and Cream.

The extensive menu celebrates classic cafe dishes and is geared towards the brunch/lunch crowd. Light options include Sauteed Mushrooms with Spinach on Brioche, Paleo Meatballs and Salad and the Gourmet Bacon and Egg Roll. If you are after a hearty meal, you can opt for the tantalising Chicken Turkish Melt, Hamburger Patty Melt or Paleo Tuna Patty Meal.

The serving size is generous and ideal for sharing and kids are catered for as well with a 'Kid's Bites Pack' which includes a mini ham and cheese or Vegemite and cheese toastie, a mini slice, juice box, sultanas and colouring activity.

Sweet tooths will love the Nutella brioche. It is served with a dollop of chantilly cream and a mini collector's jar of Nutella. There's also warm banana bread, a healthy yoghurt and muesli cup and a selection of sweet slices to choose from.

With such a diverse menu there is sure to be an item to suit everyone. Moxie is a wonderful place for friends to while the hours away and families to relax in a welcoming setting. Moxie staff will be happy to cater to your needs and look forward to welcoming you.

Why not make a day out it and visit one of Whittlesea's many attractions.

Never been to Whittlesey but now I really want to go there. That scrumptious toasted sandwich is making me drool! If there is a train to get there, I'll be eating soon!!
