Moving Through is an image and site performance that explores the space between this life and the next.
Kellie O'Dempsey is a performance, drawing and installation artist who focuses on live art and performance drawing. Her performances have been seen across Australia and internationally including The National Gallary of Australia (2018), Brooklyn's Kentler International Drawing Space (2017) and the University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China (2007).
This October, O'Dempsey will use digital drawing and animated video projection, along with physical performers and musicians to create an extraordinarily immersive experience at
Flowstate, Southbank.
Flowstate , located at
Brisbane's Southbank is a space designed for Brisbane locals and visitors, where they are invited to interact with some of Queensland's best artists. You can witness performance work in development or participate in Workshops and Artist Talks discussions. You will find
Flowstate at the Arbour, Tribune Street, Southbank.
You can catch O'Dempsey at two evening performances (27 and 28 October) where you will journey through a gentle departure through the after-life to a celebration of becoming. Or you can join one of the
Workshops Artist Talk (24 October) where you will become a co-creator in the multimedia journey. Alternatively, go along to an
Artist Talk (28 October), where O'Dempsey will explain her process of creating a cinematic collage.
