Treats for dogs and their owners
Moving Paws Inc is a not for profit registered charity dedicated to the protection and rescue of small breeds of dogs which are in need of a new home. They are a team of volunteers who specialise in caring for senior and special needs dogs. Some of the rescued dogs are too old, sick or traumatized to be adopted out to new homes and remain in the loving care of Moving Paws for the rest of their lives.
Caring for these dogs, re-homing those which are able to be re-homed, veterinary charges and food bills all have to be paid for and the volunteers at Moving Paws are involved in a number of fundraising activities to help cover these costs. One of these initiatives is to set up a stall at the Adelaide Hills Farmers' Market in Mount Barker on Saturday 20th August, Saturday 17th September and Saturday 15th October.
Items which will be available from Moving Paws' stall, specifically for well-dressed and cared for canines, include cosy, hand-knitted jumpers in a variety of sizes and colours and a selection of collars and leads to suit small, large and in-between dogs.

To tempt the doggy owners, Moving Paws will be selling entertainment books and paw print shaped, soy melts, made locally by Moonspire Creations. The brainchild of an Adelaide based husband and wife team, Moonspire Creation uses only the best quality materials to produce a range of wax melts and candles in over 90 different scents, all designed to stir the imagination. All their products are cruelty-free and ethically sustainable in line with their environmental and animal-friendly values.

The Adelaide Hills Farmers' Market is held every Saturday morning (except Easter Saturday) at 23 Mann Street, Mount Barker and runs from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm. Over 25 stall-holders set up shop and sell a wide range of fresh, seasonable and local produce and products.
Come along on 20th August, 17th September and/or 15th October to support Moving Paws and spoil yourself and your canine companion by purchasing some of the items they have on sale. You will also be able to enjoy the other stalls at the market, stock up on some fresh fruit and veggies, check out a variety of other goodies on sale and enjoy a coffee.
