For three Saturdays in February free movies will be screened in local parks around Hornsby Shire as part of Hornsby Council's annual Movies under the Stars, offering families a great opportunity to enjoy a relaxing night out together.

The films to be shown are kid-friendly (each of them is G rated), but this year organisers have tried to choose titles that will also appeal to older relatives, selecting classics that everyone knows and loves.

On Saturday February 9, The Wizard of Oz will be screened at Warrina Street Oval in Berowra.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will then screen on Saturday February 16 at Asquith Oval, located on Mills Avenue in Asquith.

Finally, you can catch Mary Poppins on Saturday February 23 at Forest Park on Forest Grove in Epping.

All films will start at sunset (which is approximately 8.15pm). As Movies under the Stars is a family-based event, alcohol is forbidden. Every child under 18 must also be accompanied by an adult.
