Family fun at no cost, with laughs thrown in from The Rock
Let's all ease into the New Year with Movies In The Park, proudly presented by the Heritage Bank in conjunction with Ipswich City Council.
The first movie on the agenda is Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, starring Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson and Jack Black. This PG Rated movie is suitable for all the family and is sure to raise a few smiles.
Following on from the original 1995 Jumanji featuring Robin Williams, " four high school kids discover an old video console and are drawn into the game's jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don't just play Jumanji - you must survive it."
This FREE event occurs on Saturday, 2nd of February, 2019 at the Redbank Plains Recreation Reserve, on the corner of Redbank Plains Road and Cedar Road, Redbank Plains.
The movie commences at 7pm, so pack a Picnic Tea and rug, cold drinks and insect repellant, for an inexpensive night of entertainment under the stars.
This event is tobacco, drug and alcohol-free. In the event of wet weather, the movie will be screened on Saturday 9 February, at the same time and place (weather permitting).
Redbank Plains Recreation Park is much loved by locals with modern playground equipment for the kiddies, room to kick a ball and a skate park for the teens, public toilets, and off street parking. More importantly, there are Eucalypts and Poinciana trees under which to relax as well as grassy knolls.
I'm thinking a hot chicken and fresh bread rolls. What about you?
