Event:
Outdoor cinema under the stars

This February the Coromandel Community Centre is hosting a great family event - Movies in the Park.

This popular community event will be held at Weymouth Oval, located in Coromandel Valley and will take place on Saturday, 22 February 2014 from 7pm.

All are invited to come along and enjoy an outdoor screening of the 2013 box-office hit Monsters University, a prequel to the much loved 2001 Pixar film Monsters, Inc. This acclaimed animated comedy film is sure to be a hit with the whole family.

Monsters University recounts the story of how best friends Michael "Mike" Wazowski and James P. "Sulley" Sullivan first met at 'Monsters University' as first-year scare majors. Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Bob Peterson, and John Ratzenberger all reprise their memorable roles as Mike Wazowski, James P. Sullivan, Randall Boggs, Roz, and the Abominable Snowman, respectively.

The film screening will commence at 8pm, but guests are welcome to arrive at 7pm and set up a spot on the grass. Bring along bean bags (avoid high backed chairs), rugs and a picnic. There will be a selection of food and snacks available on site (courtesy of The Orchard Food Store & Café), as well as glow-sticks for children.

The entry fee is a $2 donation.

Please note that if rain is forecast the event will be cancelled.
