There are some great movies to be released in April 2018, so make sure you check out which ones are of interest to you.

[b] 1. EVERY DAY[/b]
This is due to be released on 5th April, 2018 and is about a shy teenager who falls for someone who moves to a new body every day.

It stars Angourie Rice, Justice Smith, and Debby Ryan.



[b]2. RAMPAGE[/b]
Due in theatres on 12th April, Rampage is based on the classic 1980's video game featuring apes and monsters destroying cities.

It stars Dwayne Johnson, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Malin Akerman, and will also be released in 3-D.

[b]3. EDIE[/b]
Edie is about an octogenarian who decides to climb a mountain in Scotland to try and overcome a lifetime of bitterness and resentment in this UK drama.

It will be released on 5th April and stars Sheila Hancock, Kevin Guthrie, Paul Brannigan, Amy Manson, Wendy Morgan, and Rachael Keiller, and this one looks both moving and interesting.



[b]4. WALKING OUT[/b]
Walking Out will be released on 5th April, and it is the story of a father and his fourteen-year-old son who find themselves in trouble in the Montana wilderness in this survival drama.

It stars Matt Bomer, Josh Wiggins, Bill Pullman, Alex Neustaedter, and Lily Gladstone.



[b]5. BLUMHOUSE'S TRUTH OR DARE[/b]
In this movie, a game of Truth or Dare turns deadly when someone, or something, begins to punish those who tell a lie or refuse the dare!

This movie will be released on 12th April and stars Tyler Posey, Lucy Hale, Aurora Perrineau, Nolan Gerard Funk, Violett Beane, and Hayden Szeto,

[b]6. ISLE OF DOGS[/b]
Isle of Dogs features the voices of Bryan Cranston, Bill Murray, Yoko Ono, Jeff Goldblum and Edward Norton and this is a stop-motion animated comedy about a Japanese boy who sets out on an adventure to find his dog.



It will be released on 12th April.

[b]7. THE PARTY[/b]
The Party is a British black comedy about a fancy dinner party which doesn't go according to plan. The plan was for politician, Janet, to have a party, and the problems start when the guests arrive.

It stars Patricia Clarkson, Cillian Murphy and Timothy Spall, and it will be released on 12th April.

[b]8. THE GUERNSEY LITERARY AND POTATO PEEL PIE SOCIETY[/b]
This movie is based on the novel of the same name. Journalist Juliet Ashton forms a life-changing bond with the delightful Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. She decides to write about the book club they formed during the occupation of Guernsey in WWII.

This will be released on 19th April, and stars Lily James, Jessica Brown Findlay, Matthew Goode, Michiel Huisman, Katherine Parkinson, Glen Powell, and Tom Courtenay.



[b]9. LAST FLAG FLYING[/b]
This stars Academy Award nominees Bryan Cranston, Steve Carell and Laurence Fishburne, who are reunited Vietnam War veterans.

It is a comedy-drama set in 2003, 30 years after they served together in the Vietnam War. They reunite to bury one of their son's killed in the Iraq war.

This will be released on 25th April.

[b]10. LOVELESS[/b]

This is a Cannes Jury Prize-winning Russian drama about a couple who are constantly arguing whilst in the process of selling their apartment and preparing for their new lives. Boris with his younger, pregnant girlfriend, and Zhenya with the wealthy lover, who is keen to get married. Neither appears to be interested in their 12-year-old son until he disappears.

This one will be released on 25th April, stars Maryana Spivak, Aleksey Rozin, Matvey Novikov, Andris Keiss, Marina Vasilyeva, and Aleksey Fateev, and has English subtitles.



[b]11. ON CHESIL BEACH[/b]
This is a drama set in the early 1960's and about a young couple on their honeymoon.

It will be released on 19th April, and stars Saoirse Ronan, Emily Watson, and Anne-Marie Duff.

[b]12. UNSANE[/b]
Claire Foy is involuntarily committed to a mental institution in this horror thriller which is shot entirely on a cellphone.

Once committed, she is confronted by her greatest fear, but is it real or is it a product of her delusion?

This will be released on 25th April and stars Claire Foy, Juno Temple, Aimee Mullins, Amy Irving, Erin Wilhelmi, and Joshua Leonard.

[b]13. GURRUMUL[/b]
This is a documentary about the late, iconic Australian musician Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu.

He was well known both in Australia and overseas, and Indigenous artist Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu was one of the most important and acclaimed voices to ever come out of Australia.

Blind from birth, he found purpose and meaning through his songs and music inspired by his community and country on Elcho Island in far North East Arnhem Land.

This movie will be released on 26th April.

[b]14. METOPERA: SEMIRAMIDE[/b]
Rossini's Semiramide, performed as part of the Met Opera's 2017-2018 season captured live in HD on the New York stage.

There are more movies that will be released in April, 2018, however, these are my personal top picks for this month, and ones that I would go to.
