FREE family summer outdoor movies
Movies by the Boulevard, Sydney Olympic Park's signature summer family event is set to return in 2016 with FREE movies and plenty of family fun. It all kicks off on Saturday 2 January with family cinematic favourites running from Wednesdays to Saturdays until 17 January 2016.
This is Movies by the Boulevard's fifteenth year and they've chosen a program of films that will have something to please every member of your family. Hollywood blockbusters, animated favourites, Australian-made, and even some short films have all made the cut for this year's festival.
Movies by the Boulevard, presented annually by the Sydney Olympic Park Authority, is different from the plethora of summer outdoor cinemas in Sydney. Firstly, it's FREE. You're also free to bring along your own picnic baskets, low chairs, cushions and rugs and settle in comfort for the whole evening.
Movies will be shown at the iconic Cathy Freeman Park (opposite ANZ Stadium), which will be fresh from its newly turfed makeover, on Olympic Boulevard at Sydney Olympic Park. Food and drink will be available for purchase from 6pm and on selected nights (yet to be advised) there will be special activities for kids also from 6pm. Movies commence on the big-screen from 8.30pm. You're also invited to check out Sydney Olympic Park's selection of cafés, bars and restaurants
