The annual event, Movies by the Bay, has just kicked off and its just where we all need to be right now. Imagine a cooling sea breeze fanning you from the water and being outside when our own lounge rooms are hot, humid and horrid.

So pack a rug, and a picnic, kick off your shoes and take your mind of things in the heat of the night.

Food wise you could stop at a local restaurant before the screening or organise yourself to buy some special take away. Nobody wants to cook on a hot night.

If you get there at approximately 8.45pm you can grab a good spot.

Movies begin at dusk, approximately 9pm. Onesies, PJs, beanbags and teddy bears welcome. Popcorn and refreshments are also available.

15th January, Big Hero 6 (PG)

Big Hero 6 is a 2014 American 3D computer-animated superhero comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The film was inspired by the Marvel Comics superhero team and was directed by Don Hall and Chris Williams. It tells the story of a young robotics prodigy named Hiro Hamada who forms a superhero team to combat a masked villain. Good fun to watch.

Movies by the Bay in Williamstown

Williamstown is always good for a stroll and an ice-cream on a hot night and a fabulous venue for watching an outdoor movie.

**22nd January (get ready for Australia Day!) - Oddball (G)
**

First up is Oddball a 2015 Australian family film directed by Stuart McDonald. It stars the well-known Shane Jacobson as well as Coco Jack Gillies, Sarah Snook and Alan Tudyk and is based on a true story.
The story is set on Middle Island, off the coast of Warrnambool where little penguins have made their home. A chicken farmer named Swampy together with his granddaughter trains their mischievous dog, Oddball, to protect the penguins from foxes. In the process it is all about saving his family and their seaside town. Heartwarming fun for the whole family.

29th January Avengers: Age of Ultron (M)

Avengers: Age of Ultron is a 2015 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers. It was produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Disney Studios. The Avengers fight Ultron, an artificial intelligence obsessed with causing human extinction.Written by Joss Whedon which is always a good sign.

These two movies will be held at Commonwealth Reserve, Nelson Place, Williamstown.
