Behind the Scenes at Movie World
I've been around Disney World, Universal Studios LA, Sea World Florida and all four theme parks along the Gold Coast - they are all amazing but Warner Bros Movie World on the Gold Coast is still one of my favourites. Even though I have visited Movie World four times already, I would go again, as I can guarantee you that each time is a unique experience, with new attractions and opportunities to meet different stars that you may have missed the first time.

Where else can you go to see the Looney Toons dance 'the shuffle,' stroll through the wild west, where cowboys are having a shoot off amongst dancing saloon girls, and shake hands or have photos taken with your favourite movie stars.
Movie World is a place that you can take anyone. The first time I experienced Movie World was 7 years ago with my partner's whole family, then just with my husband twice and recently again in November 2012 with my mother, whom I managed to find a ride for, that was not too fast or scary!
She was so thrilled as she had never been to a theme park before and was dreading going, but after shooting aliens on the new Justice League laser ride, meeting Batman, seeing the new 4D Ice Age movie, dining buffet style at Rick's Café and shopping in the themed stores, including the Harry Potter store and Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, she admits it was an exciting day, which she still secretly brags about. I know for a fact that she would go again just to see Batman!
At midday when mother started to get tired, I left her right in the middle of the theme park and she was able to see all the action unfold around her. So you don't even have to do anything - the action will find you. The stars may walk, drive or run right past you as if they are part of the crowd, and then there are opportunities to meet them too, of course. There is always a surprise around every corner. I almost applied for a job at Movie World but had to stop myself, hopefully one day Perth will be inspired to become a home to an enticing themed playground.
That's not all folks - the parade always displays new floats, costumes and the latest stars and villains. The Scooby Doo and Marilyn Monroe shows will always be classics. As for my hubby the thrill seeker, his most memorable attractions are the Superman Roller Coaster and the Wild West Water Coaster rides. Unfortunately last time I didn't get the try the new Green Lantern Roller Coaster, so be sure to check out the thrill rating for me.
As for my favourite, it was the Scooby Doo ride inside the haunted castle. It was like a roller coaster inside a night club, moving forwards and backwards in total darkness with what I call party lights. There is also the Looney Toones Fun Zone and water fun for the little ones. Experience dining at Gotham City or relax at the Dirty Harry Bar while the youngsters explore the world of great movie legends throughout past and present.
Getting up close with Wonder Woman.
Make sure Movie World is included on your to do list for your next trip to Queensland and be sure to make use of the unlimited entry pass.
