Movie night at Brisbane's iconic swimming hole, Spring Hill Baths, returns this October with a screening of the dramatic fright favourite, Jaws 2. Come if you dare to watch this fictional but unforgettable blockbuster at Brisbane's heritage 25-metre pool in the inner city suburb of Spring Hill
The history of the Spring Hill Baths Not only is the film fun to watch but the Baths offer a lot to see in their own right. The Spring Hill Baths were built in 1886 and were Brisbane's first in-ground public pool.
Over its long life time, much about Brisbane has changed but the heritage features of the 25 metre pool have been retained.
It is best known for its individual, brightly painted change rooms around the edge of the pool with signs still marking "Ladies Only This Side" and "Gents Only This Side". Visitors can also sit in the wooden, tiered gallery that wraps above and around the pool.
