This May, Arthritis Queensland is encouraging people to set themselves a movement challenge to raise funds to help arthritis sufferers. The challenge is open to anyone and everyone, no matter your fitness level or what type of movement you prefer. You can walk, run, ride, dance, whatever you like to help end the pain of arthritis.
You could choose to walk 10,000 steps in a day, or increase your step count by 1000 steps per day. You could team up with a group and choose to collectively run the distance between Brisbane and Sydney. Or you could select a lower impact challenge such as gardening, yoga or daily Tai Chi. It's up to you.
This fundraiser is hosted by Arthritis Queensland to gather the funds to help the one in five Queenslanders who suffer from arthritis.
To join, simply choose your own movement challenge and register online here. Then spread the word and ask friends family and everyone you know to sponsor you as you complete your challenge. Help end the pain of this debilitating and often misunderstood disease.
