Come along to the the annual Melbourne Cup Weekend Mountains of Books Fair. Enjoy Springtime in the hills and get a head start to your Christmas shopping.



Book readers and collectors everywhere are gearing up for the Springtime road trip to the Dandenongs and on up to Ferny Creek on Melbourne Cup Weekend, Saturday November 3rd 10-4 and Sunday November 4th 10-4 at the Ferny Creek Recreation Reserve Hall, Hilton Road, Ferny Creek, 3786. Melways 75 D1.



This is where the Mountains of Books Fair will be holding its annual Melbourne Cup Weekend Fair and celebrating its 10th year. With a recognised and growing reputation for quality used, rare and out of print books, this is a "must" event for booklovers everywhere.



The Mountains of Books Used, Rare and Out-of-Print Book Fair is held each year and is a great opportunity to buy that special book for that special person. Thousands of books in every category to choose from will be available from local secondhand booksellers. With out of print and hard to get books, this is a wonderful opportunity to rediscover old favourites and to introduce well-loved children's books to your kids and grandkids.



Catering will be provided while parking is available onsite and there is wheelchair access. Why not pack a picnic hamper and take advantage of the beautiful surroundings to enjoy a picnic outdoors! This will be a great weekend for families, and an opportunity to add to your book collection while enjoying the scenery and the beautiful Ferny Creek surroundings.



This year, the Bookbinders' Guild of Victoria will be giving demonstrations of their work. Book lovers everywhere will gain a new perspective of bookbinding in all its variety.



So get ready to pack the kids, plenty of cartons and or shopping bags in your car. Write this in your diary! It's a "don't-miss" event!
