Free and fun school holiday golfing skills workshop
Are you tired of hearing the kids complain that they're bored on the holidays? Do you have an active child who is keen to get outdoors and try a new sport? The Mount Warren Park Golf Club's junior try day could provide the solution for exhausted parents and cooped up kids.
The club will be hosting a fun golf skills workshop these school holidays on Wednesday 26th of June, for beginners and intermediates. Putting, chipping, full swing and skill testing will be conducted, with games and prizes on offer to all attendees. All equipment is supplied and, along with professional coaching, it's completely free of charge.
Easily accessible via the M1, the Mount Warren Park Golf Club is set in picturesque surrounds on the banks of the Albert River, making it a top spot for a relaxing round of golf. The club is committed to building their pool of junior players, with a junior practice zone and qualified instructors facilitating lessons (bookings and costs apply). The aim of the junior try day is to encourage participation while allowing kids to pick up some tips along the way. Why not have a go yourself on the 18-hole, par 72 course, or perhaps relax with a coffee at the adjoining Beenleigh RSL club while you wait?
Kids aged between 5 and 14 are welcome to attend. The junior try day workshop will be held from 9am to 11am. Register your interest by contacting the Mount Warren Park pro shop by phone (3287 1951) or by email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Watch out Karrie Webb and Adam Scott – the Mount Warren Park juniors will be hot on your heels.
