Cool off at the pool for Mount Morgan Community Day
Mount Morgan in Central Queensland is a small town with a vibrant gold mining history as well as silver and copper. If you have relatives who have worked in mines, most likely they have worked at Mount Morgan during part of their career. During the Second World War, the mines were considered a vital industry and therefore mine workers were not allowed to go to war, instead maintained their employment for the manufacture of war equipment.

On Sunday 1st December 2018, the Mount Morgan Pool will stay open from 12 noon to 5.00pm as a celebration and welcoming of the Summer pool season. Entry will be free and if you are a visitor or a local, everyone is welcome to an afternoon of family fun at the Pool's Annual Community Day.
There are new aquatic facilities and an array of entertainment and activities planned along with a giant water adventure inflatable. Mount Morgan Pool is suitable for all ages and swimming abilities. Some may wish to do laps or some may wish to sit and bob in the cool pool waters. Tiny tot swimmers can use the Splash pool to have some cool fun. The six-lane 30 metre pool has a depth of one metre to two point nine metres, so caution is required if you are not a good swimmer.
