What Floats Will You See This Year?
If you missed the Christmas Pageant in Adelaide or even if you didn't, do not despair, Santa has promised he will be coming along to the Mount Barker Christmas Pageant to ensure that no one misses out on the all the glamour of a pageant.
Commencing at 10.30 am on Saturday 2 December 2017, the start point is at the Mt Barker Showground, Alexandrina Road, Mount Barker after which the floats will then proceed along Hampdon Road, Hock Street, Hutchinson Street and finishes in Gawler Street.

In great hills tradition, the Pageant was first formed in 1982 by a group of volunteers who work all year round to build, renovate and repair pageant floats. Since then around 18 floats have been constructed with each taking hundreds of hours to build. There are many wonderful floats for you to see and many of the local people and children also get involved by dressing up and accompanying Santa along the route.

As this is an Adelaide Hills event, the Pageant Committee will consider prevailing weather conditions on the day. Should catastrophic fire danger, excessive heat (40 deg C or higher) or extreme rain, thunder or lightning be declared for the Mt Lofty Ranges on the day, please check the website to ascertain if the Pageant will be continuing.
