Coming to Hobart for the first time, MOULD X Pinot Palooza will be held over the weekend of Friday 21 Oct to Sunday 23 Oct 2022. The Goods Shed will play host to the combined powers of both festivals in a celebration of all things cheese, and Pinot Noir at 41 Evans St, Hobart. Showcasing over 75 varieties of the very best in Australian artisan cheese from around the country, there's a fromage to suit every palate at all MOULD celebrations. It's all about championing the best Australian-made cheese, and the community that surrounds it.

Along with it, celebrate the diversity of Pinot Noir and all its glory from 30 pinot producers. You'll find not just local Tasmanian products, but also from the mainland, New Zealand and beyond. Have fun taste testing and vote in real-time using a QR code for your favourite cheese or wine of the Festival. Submissions for the People's Choice Award puts punters in the running to win one of five 12-month subscriptions to either the MOULD Collective or, soon to be launched - Pinot Palooza Wine Club. Find more details here to choose your session times. Timeframes are Fri 21 Oct from 5-9pm, Sat 22 Oct from 11am-3pm and again from 4-8pm, and Sun 23 Oct from 11am-3pm. Ticket includes all cheese and Pinot tastings for $55 a ticket, plus BF a MOULD Cheese Collective cooler bag and Stemless REVEL wine glass to take home. Set your mind on wine and cheese with local drops in Small Island Wines, Mewstone, Meadowbank, as well as Moondarra (VIC), Craggy Range (NZ) and more, pouring up at the festival bar to thirsty punters in-between samples. Other drops on offer include Hartshorn gin and vodka, Bruny Island beers and Pagan Cider.

The island state's reputation for excellent produce draws visitors all year round, and MOULD X Pinot Palooza will bring together many of these same Tasmanian makers under one roof, to be sampled alongside visiting cheese champions and pinot producers from the mainland. Artisan cheese highlights include Victoria's own Milawa Cheese Company, Boatshed Cheese; NSW's Nimbin Valley Dairy, Vannella Cheese; and Woombye (QLD). Local produce in Pyengana Dairy from the remote northeast; Red Cow Organics from the northwest coast; goats cheese specialist Tongola; La Cantara Artisan Cheese; Grandvewe Cheese; and festival favourite Bruny Island Cheese Co., will also bring their famous cheese fondue to the party.
