Each year the most popular classic cars and bikes, the shiniest chassis and the most famous marques all meet at this premier event. Motorclassica is for classic car enthusiasts, people who love classic and unique cars and anyone who has an interest in seeing a bit of history as well as the cars themselves.
From the 13th-15th October 2017, this event will once again take place in the Royal Exhibition Building(REB) and Carlton Gardens. The World Heritage Listed REB is the perfect venue to show off beautiful cars of all vintages, functions, shapes and colours.
This year, Motorclassica will feature more than 160 pristine, rare and desirable machines representing the best from collections around Australia and beyond.The world's greatest marques, including Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, BMW, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Fiat, Abarth, Porsche and Maserati will all be there.
An event within the Motorclassica, the prestigious and unique competition, the Australian International Concours d'Elegance will feature the finest automobiles and motorcycles in this unique competition of beauty, design, and provenance. The competition is for a variety of show classes, but all are ultimately vying for the coveted ''Best in Show'' award.
The Club Sandwich will have its display of club cars, such as the Porsche Club Victoria, in the Museum Plaza of the Royal Exhibition Building exhibiting a display of classic & vintage favourites. And if you feel like a glass of champagne to wash down all the excitement, the Pommery Lounge in Club Sandwich is there to provide a glass or 2 of this premier French Champagne. There will be a range of food options from food trucks and stalls too.
For Ferrari fans, there will be a special celebration of 70 years of Ferrari. The best and rarest of this famous Italian marque will be on display, proudly presenting their beauty. Other marques such as Holden, Lancia and Moto Guzi will be there celebrating their particular anniversaries too.
Tour Classica is the official kick-off to the Motorclassica's weekend festival of historic motoring, with more than 70 cars and motorcycles travelling in a convoy through Melbourne's picturesque city and surrounds. You can find the route of the cars through the city here.
