A Bit About Geelong and Geetroit
Geelong is a lovely place to visit, it's a little bit country, a little bit rural, a little bit city. Geelong is the home of the "ute" invented in Geetroit (Geelong) in 1934. Watch these pages for my article on the "ute" coming up soon.
Geelong is a lovely place to visit and it boasts lots of festivals, marathons, tri-athlons, food and wine festivals, fairs and fetes. It also boasts the Motor City Music Festival, which is held over the Labour Day Weekend.
The Motor City Music Festival is bought to Geelong by the team at Bay City Events. The team at Bay City Events also created and operate Queenscliff's famous Blues Train.
The Motor City Music Festival is a great way for Geelong to show off what's special about Geelong and the region. At the Motor City Music Festival you can see some of the icons of Geelong's past and present - Ford, tractors and trucks from International Harvester, Geelong's agricultural past, and food and wine (fresh, not from the past) from Geelong, the Bellarine, and surrounding areas, and all this rolled into a fantastic festival at Geelong Showgrounds.
So come and help celebrate some of the special things about Geelong and the region. This event is proudly supported by the City of Greater Geelong via Geelong Major Events. You can purchase your tickets at Ticket Master
