Australia's largest charity event will be held on Mother's Day, May 8th, to raise money for breast cancer research. The Mother's Day Classic fun run and walk is a great way to get active, celebrate Mother's Day, and contribute to a great cause. One in nine women are diagnosed with breast cancer. This event gives you the opportunity to help those suffering by running, walking, raising money, or volunteering to help coordinate the event.
One hundred thousand people are involved in this event each year. This fundraiser is an opportunity to not only support those suffering from this form of cancer, but also to meet others and be inspired through stories of courage and hope. The event is a reflection of the community spirit of Australians, and the courage and determination of those who suffer from cancer. Being involved is a great way to empathise with those diagnosed, and to raise money to help them live.
The Mother's Day Classic website contains details on how to register, a link to their youtube site, fitness tips and running and walking programs, an online tribute wall, and a link to the Mother's Day classic shop.
