This event is capped at 1500 participants and sells out quickly, so register online now to grab a spot. Online entries close 11.59pm Wed 9 May 2018. On the day entries are NOT available. Please register online. Arrive early to pick up your race numbers on the morning of the event.
The Mother's Day Classic is enjoying its 4th year in Lilydale, and is offering a 5km walk and 2.5km and 5km run. It'll be a circuit around the lake, and those doing the 5km events, will do two laps. If you can't make this event, be there in spirit and support this worthy cause by donating.
Entry fees are $25 for the adult walker, $30 for the adult runner and concession/child (18 years or younger, children under 3 are free) runner is $15 and concession/child walker is $10. Family ticket - 20% discount on each child ticket when two (2) or more children are added to the cart when registering. Walkers will not be timed at this event, but runners get a timing chip located on the back of the provided race number, to be electronically timed.
On the day of the event, arrive early at 8am to pick up your race numbers. The official welcome begins at 9am, followed by a warm up 5 mins later. The 2.5km run starts at 9.15am, followed by the 5km run at 9.35am. The walkers head out at 10am.
Be sure to dress up for the occasion as there'll be prizes for best dressed and 1st place male and female for running events. The 2018 medallions for all participants are subject to availability. A Certificate of Participation will be available on the website from Tue 15 May 2018 for you to download and print.
There'll be some fun to have on the day with a sausage sizzle, coffee van, face painting, lawn games and a raffle with some lovely prizes. Lilydale has created a community group on Facebook you can join, to chat with fellow participants, ask questions and keep up to date with what's going on with the event.
