The annual Mother's Day Classic Fun Run and Walk is again being held in the City of Peth on Sunday 8 May, 2016.

Langley Park will be hosting the event from 7am to 10.30am on the morning of Mother's Day. Here, participants can run or walk along a 4km or 8km course that circuits Langley Park Reserve and part of Riverside Drive.



To add to the fun of this family event, there will be live entertainment, including musicians as well as rides and activities for the younger ones. The main stage will also be used for the memorial minute of silence, warm-up aerobics and to run presentations at the end of the event.

A range of hot and cold food and beverages will be available at Langley Park before, during and after the race.



Costs this year ranges from $45-$50 for adult walkers and runners and $25-$30 for child walkers or runners. Children under 3 years old are free. There are also some great family deals available when registering the whole family at the same time. All funds raised will go towards breast cancer awareness and research. Every finisher will receive a 2016 medallion and there will also be spot prizes given out throughout the day, including weekend getaway packages, meal vouchers, gift baskets and more.



Road closures will be in place from 5:30am in and around the Langley Park area, so catching a bus, train or ferry, or even riding your bike, will be the most convenient way to make it to the event.
