In Melbourne, you are never more than two or three minutes walk from one great location to find another watering hole.
So, with so many choices, it seems we are indeed spoilt for choice; so which bar would you nominate as the most unique, the most different or simply your favourite bar?
Here's a few fun ones to get started:
1806 in the city has amazing cocktails and a lovely atmosphere. It makes you feel like you're in a stylish stage show as you enter.
The Chill On Ice Lounge have cocktails in a room filled with iced favourites, where you even have to get dressed up warmly just to maintain your temperature - very cool.
The Berlin Bar in the city does wonderful martinis.
The 29th Apartment on Fitzroy Street is furnished like a friends apartment, but they have amazing cocktails that you can even drink in a bath.
Handsome Steve's House of Refreshment is located at the Abbotsford convent and is the most crazy bar I have yet to see.
Pelligrini's is always an old favourite that has been around since Melbourne began.
The Hard Rock Cafe serves up some really funky drinks along with live entertainment.
